A battery assembly and an electronic cigarette, the battery assembly comprising: a battery sleeve (1), a battery (2) sleeved within the battery sleeve (1), a control module (3) electrically connected to the battery (2), and an adjustable resistor (4) electrically connected to the control module (3). One end of the battery sleeve (1) is movably sleeved with an adjustment mechanism (5) used for adjusting the adjustable resistor (4), and an elastic mechanism (9) used for providing the adjustment mechanism (5) with an elastic restoring force, the elastic mechanism (9) being sleeved within the battery sleeve (1). A clamping position mechanism (6) movably abutting the adjustment mechanism (5) and limiting the adjustment mechanism (5) within the battery sleeve (1) is provided on a sidewall of the battery sleeve (1). When in a normal state, the adjustment mechanism (5) partially abuts the clamping position mechanism (6), and is accommodated within the battery sleeve (1), and when adjustment of the output power of the battery assembly is required, force is applied to the clamping position mechanism (6), and under the effect of the elastic restoring force of the elastic mechanism (9), the adjustment mechanism (5) extends out of the battery sleeve (1) for adjustment to be performed. When adjustment of the output power of the battery assembly by a user is not required, the adjustment mechanism (5) is located within the battery sleeve (1), preventing false operation and pressing of the adjustment mechanism (5). |
