A vaginal ring pessary that is double folded for easy insertion by using an applicator. The ring pessary is over sized to allow it to stay in a double folded configuration in vagina. It prevents stress urinary incontinence and pelvic organs prolapse by anchoring its distal loops against pelvic floor and its proximal arches against the prolapsing organs. The applicator has one or more loop holding compartments to hold the loops in place during insertion to ensure proper release of the ring pessary in a transverse position to give maximum circumferential distension of vagina and therefore elevation of pelvic floor. The assembly of ring pessary and applicator is also useful in securing female condom and drug delivery system in vagina. |
