A gas insulated switchgear (1) includes: gas tanks (2, 3) filled with insulating gas; a circuit breaker (20) which is arranged such that the shaft center direction of a driving shaft (23) thereof is parallel to a front portion (2a) of the gas tank (2) and horizontal; a first disconnecting switch (24) which is arranged on the lower side of the circuit breaker (20) and is electrically connected to the circuit breaker (20); a busbar (40) whose one end is connected to the circuit breaker (20) and the other end is extended in the shaft center direction of the driving shaft (23) of the circuit breaker (20); a second disconnecting switch (42) electrically connected to the busbar (40); a cable terminal (5) led out outside the gas tank (2) from the first disconnecting switch (24); and a cable terminal (6) led out outside the gas tank (3) from the second disconnecting switch (42), whereby the gas insulated switchgear can be installed even at a narrow place in installation space whose depth direction is short. |
