Steam cutting, chatter, journal vibration, welding, and milling within a high-pressure rotary valve system (800) may be mitigated by the use an adjustable journal housing (200) assembly disengaged from the high-pressure rotary valve housing (534) and configured to move laterally with respect to the journal to accommodate changes in journal eccentricity and attitude angle. A torque arm (845) with at least two equidistant turnbuckles (890) may be fitted on at least one end of a journal such that the at least two turnbuckles are fixedly engaged to a housing of the rotary valve system. |
