Provided in the present invention are a non-aqueous electrolyte including an organic solvent, a lithium salt, and a phosphorous compound represented by chemical formula 1, and a lithium secondary battery including the same. The non-aqueous electrolyte, including the phosphorous compound represented by chemical formula 1, is capable of enhancing the initial capacity and output characteristics at room temperature and low temperatures, along with the lifetime characteristics of the battery, by forming a stable solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) layer on an electrode in the charging and discharging process of the battery. In the chemical formula 1, X1, X2, R, m and n are the same as described in the specification. |
