Provided are a home gateway DS-Lite multicast method and device, the method comprising: when receiving an IPv4 multicast protocol request packet sent from a user, adding the IPv4 multicast protocol request packet to a home gateway; converting the IPv4 multicast protocol request packet into an IPv6 multicast protocol packet and sending the IPv6 multicast protocol packet to a router; when receiving an IPv6 multicast data packet sent from the router, converting the IPv6 multicast data packet into an IPv4 multicast data packet; forwarding the IPv4 multicast data packet to the user. By employing the technical solution in an embodiment of the present invention, a home gateway enables connected users to effectively realize multicast service in DS-Lite network architecture. |
