A driver risk index management system for a vehicle is provided. The system comprises: a relevant vehicle driving trajectory generation unit generating a relevant vehicle driving trajectory using relevant trajectory information received from an internal sensor sensing a driving situation of a relevant vehicle; a peripheral vehicle trajectory generation unit generating the peripheral vehicle trajectory using surrounding environment information received from the external sensor sensing the surrounding situation of the relevant vehicle; a trajectory load amount calculation unit calculating a load amount of the trajectory showing a result of comparison between a preset threshold value and a trajectory distance which is a difference between the peripheral vehicle trajectory and the relevant vehicle driving trajectory; and a risk index management unit generating a driver risk index corresponding to the calculated load amount of the trajectory.
