The invention relates to a wiping device (D) which is provided for a rear window (VR) of a first vehicle and includes i) a mechanism (ME) suitable for driving at least one blade (BE) arranged to wipe a portion of an outer surface (FE) of the rear window (VR), ii) control means (MC) suitable for controlling the operation of said mechanism (ME), and iii) display means (MA) coupled to the mechanism (ME) and suitable for displaying at least one image intended for a driver of a second vehicle following the first vehicle, on an inner surface (FI) of the rear window (VR) in the portion (ZE) or downstream from said rear window (VR) depending on commands supplied by the control means (MC).
