The present invention relates to an electromagnetic motor (1) or generator comprising a rotor (2), at least one stator (4), an air gap being defined between the rotor (2) and the stator (4), at least one series of permanent magnets (5) being supported by the rotor (2) and at least one associated series of windings (6) being supported by the stator (4), the series of magnets (5) and the series of windings (6) being positioned so as to create an axial magnetic flux relative to the motor (1) or to the generator, characterised in that the rotor (2) comprises at least one auxiliary series of magnets (7) interacting with an auxiliary series of windings (8) supported by the stator (4), the auxiliary magnetic flux created by the auxiliary series of magnets (7) and windings (8) being a radial magnetic flux. |
