The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a patterned silica particle and to a patterned silica particle manufactured by the same. The method comprises the steps of manufacturing a mixed solution including a silica oligomer solution and a block copolymer solution; forming a block copolymer shell-silica core particle; annealing the solution including the block copolymer shell-silica core particle; and etching a block copolymer shell of the annealed block copolymer shell-silica core particle.
