Solenoid actuator with magnetisable gliding sleeve

The actuator (2) has a plunger (12) made of ferromagnetic material and movable in translation in a given direction. A sleeve (10) surrounds the plunger and extends in the direction of translation of the plunger. A solenoid device is positioned around the sleeve for generating a magnetic field. The sleeve includes a ferromagnetic material extending continuously over the length of one of the solenoid device and the plunger in a stable position of the plunger, so as to allow part of the magnetic field to pass along the sleeve in parallel to the plunger.
