The invention describes a generator armature (100) comprising a plurality of laminate sheets (1) stacked to form an annular arrangement of armature teeth (111), whereby each pair of adjacent armature teeth (111) is separated by an axial winding slot (102) extending a direction essentially parallel to an axis of rotation (R) of the generator (4); and a plurality of radial cooling channels (101), whereby a radial cooling channel (101) is realised to transport a cooling medium (AF) and extends from an axial winding slot (102) to an interior cavity (20) of the generator (4), and wherein a radial cooling channel (101) comprises a series (S hi , S lo ) of aligned notches (10) in the laminate sheets (1) of a laminate stack (12). The invention further describes a laminate sheet (1) for an armature (100) of a generator (4); a cooling arrangement (6); a generator (4); a wind turbine (5); and a method of cooling stator windings (200) arranged on an armature (100) of a generator (4).
