摘要 The objective of the present invention is to provide: a carbon-coated-metal powder having few impurities, a narrow particle distribution, and sintering characteristics that are particularly suitable as an electroconductive powder of an electroconductive paste for forming an internal conductor of a ceramic layered electronic component in which a multilayered ceramic sheet and an internal-conductor layer are simultaneously baked; an electroconductive paste containing the carbon-coated-metal powder; a layered electronic component in which said paste is used; and a method for manufacturing the carbon-coated-metal powder. The carbon-coated-metal powder has characteristic properties for TMA or ESCA measurement. This carbon-coated-metal powder can be obtained by melting and vaporizing a metal raw material in a reaction container, conveying the generated metal vapor into a cooling pipe, and causing the carbon source supplied to the cooling pipe to endothermically decompose, whereby the metal vapor is quickly cooled, and a carbon coating film is formed on the surface of a metal core concurrently with the deposition of the metal core.
