The present invention relates to a power control system in wireless communications and a method thereof. The present invention provides a power control method of a wireless communications system including a transmission node and a plurality of receiving nodes, comprising the steps: in which the transmission node performs broadcasting a beacon frame to the receiving nodes; in which the transmission node receives a PS-POLL signal from one or more receiving nodes; which selects a first receiving node to transmit data among the receiving nodes which has transmitted the PS-POLL signal; which transmits information on estimated data transmission time, consumed when the data is transmitted to the first receiving node, to the receiving nodes; which transmits the data to the first receiving node; and which receives a confirmation message, for notifying the transmission node of the completion of the data transmission, from the first receiving node. The present invention introduces the power control system in the wireless communications and the method thereof to let a node, which does not occupy a channel, switch to a power saving (PS) mode and wait in a sleep state for estimated time to termination of the channel occupation, thereby saving the power abused in an active mode (AM) by a node which does not occupy the channel. |
