The present invention relates to a rotation speed controller for a vessel engine and a control method thereof. When a vehicle engine (cars or heavy equipment) is structurally changed to a vessel engine, a torque control type vehicle engine controller is used without any change and the vessel engine, structurally changed by the rotation speed controller of the present invention, achieves a speed control function. A microcontroller of the engine rotation speed controller compares and calculates a target rotation speed and a current rotation speed of the engine, and outputs a rotation speed control value according to the calculation result. An output signal is inputted into an acceleration signal input part of an engine controller (ECU), and the rotation speed is controlled by the ECU. As a result, the engine rotation speed controller repeatedly and continuously executes control operation so that the rotation speed of the vessel engine is matched with a target value of the engine rotation speed, set by a vessel operator by using a speed control lever, and generally the vessel engine achieves a speed control function. |
