A display device comprises a first substrate, a second substrate, a thin film transistor, a pixel electrode, a gate line, a data line, and a connection unit. The first substrate has a channel forming region, and the thin film transistor is disposed on the first substrate. The pixel electrode is electrically connected with the thin film transistor. The data line is electrically connected with the thin film transistor. The data line is divided into at least two parts with the channel forming region disposed therebetween on a plane. The connection unit electrically connects the divided parts of the data line. A gate electrode of the thin film transistor is branched from the gate line, and overlaps the channel forming region on a plane. A semiconductor pattern of the thin film transistor overlaps the divided parts of the gate electrode and the data line on a plane to cover the channel forming region. A drain electrode of the thin film transistor is electrically connected with the pixel electrode and overlaps the semiconductor pattern on a plane.
