Provided are a control method and a control apparatus for improving efficiency of a rectifier. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the control method for improving efficiency of a rectifier includes: a voltage vector selection unit which, if a leg, through which the largest current flows, is selected among a plurality of legs included in a rectifier, selects voltage vectors, except for voltage vectors creating switching of the selected leg, from a plurality of voltage vectors generated by the rectifier; and a switching control unit which controls switching of the rectifier by using the selected voltage vectors in the next sampling section. |
