An apparatus may include a processor arranged to receive an input signal from an input device and a first event conversion module. The first event conversion module may receive an input event from the input device as an operating system (OS)-specific event arranged in a format operable by a first operating system, convert the OS-specific event into a converted event having an OS-independent format, and dispatch the converted event for processing. a processor arranged to receive input from an input device; a first event conversion module operative on the processor to:
receive an input event from the input device as an operating system (OS)-specific event arranged in a format operable by a first operating system;convert the OS-specific event into a first converted event having an OS-independent format; andsend the first converted event for processing; and a second event conversion module operative on the processor to:
receive a second converted event having an OS-independent format;convert the second converted event into a third converted event having an OS-specific event format; andinject the third converted event into a queue for processing by the input device.
