A method of modeling hyperspectral images, comprising: using a processor to execute computer executable components stored in a memory to perform the following acts: generating a three-dimensional scene in a first frame including generating objects and materials in the scene;selecting a first hyperspectral band;adjusting at least one of: a reflectivity of at least one of the objects or materials in the scene to correspond to reflectivity in the first hyperspectral band, or an emissivity of at least one spectral source to correspond to the emissivity of the at least one spectral source in the first hyperspectral band;generating, by rendering, a first spectral frame of the three-dimensional scene;selecting a second hyperspectral band;adjusting at least one of: a reflectivity of at least one of the objects or materials in the scene to correspond to reflectivity in the second hyperspectral band, or an emissivity of at least one spectral source in the scene to correspond to the emissivity of the at least one spectral source in the second hyperspectral band;generating, by rendering, a second spectral frame of the three-dimensional scene; andassembling the first and second spectral frames into a hyperspectral frame.
