A non-transitory computer readable medium may include executable instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to authenticate a user, and to retrieve a user profile based on the user. The instructions further cause the processor to apply the user profile to restrict an operation of a non-destructive testing (NDT) device.

1. A non-transitory computer readable medium comprising executable instructions which, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to:
authenticate a user; retrieve a user profile based on the user; apply the user profile to restrict an operation of a non-destructive testing (NDT) device; and apply the user profile to modify a NDT hardware parameter value of the NDT device from a first value to a second value, wherein the NDT device is configured to provide a first observation when configured with the first value and to provide a second observation when configured with the second value, wherein the processor is configured to synchronize the user profile with a second NDT device based on a change to the user profile, and wherein the processor is configured to download a setting configured to operate the NDT device onto a memory of the NDT device based on the user profile.
