The present invention relates to a medium separating apparatus of an ATM and, more specifically, to a medium separating apparatus of an ATM, comprising: a pickup roller which sequentially picks up and transports media stacked through a friction member partially provided on the outer circumferential face; a feed roller which transports the media picked up and transported through the friction member partially provided on the outer circumferential face while rotating in the same phase as that of the pickup roller; and a medium separating unit which separates a subsequent medium coming in close contact with the bottom of the preceding medium transported to the feed roller through a separation belt and being simultaneously transported, from the preceding medium, wherein the media are picked up and transported through a partial roller structure partially having the friction member, and separation of media is performed through the medium separating unit having a separation belt structure. Accordingly, media picked up and transported through the separation belt structure are effectively separated and transported one by one, and it is possible to effectively prevent a problem that media are picked up and transported by using a feed belt having a belt structure in a conventional belt-type medium separating apparatus, if skew occurs in the preceding medium, the skew has an influence on the subsequent medium, and skew continuously occurs in the transported medium. |
