The invention comprises the compound CF3-CF2-CHBrCl. The compound is prepared by reacting CF3-CF2-CH2Br with Cl2 or CF3-CF2-CH2Cl with Br2, in the vapour phase at 350-500 DEG C.ALSO:Compositions for use in inhalation anaesthesia comprise the compound CF3-CF2-CHB and C1 and one or more of a preservative, molecular oxygen, diethyl ether and N2O. The oxygen may be supplied as pure oxygen, a mixture of O2 and N2, a mixture of O2 and He, or as air. |
