Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for reducing a common mode voltage. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the apparatus for reducing a common mode voltage includes: a detection unit which detects a common mode voltage between a driving shaft, connecting a driving motor and a wheel, and a frame of the driving motor; a gate resistance unit of a power module connected to the driving motor; and a control unit changing the size of a resistance of the gate resistance unit based on a level of the detected common mode voltage and a level of a preset reference voltage. |
