The present invention relates to a method for separating and sorting nickel from saprolite laterite ore containing nickel. The nickel-bearing saprolite ore separation and sorting method according to the present invention comprises the following steps: crushing the nickel-bearing saprolite ore; mixing chloride and a reducing agent with the crushed saprolite ore to form a mixture; applying heat to the mixture and roasting the mixture to separate a nickel constituent from the saprolite ore and reduce the nickel constituent; crushing the roasted material to liberate the constituent, containing the nickel constituent, from the roasted material; and performing magnetic separation for the liberated roasted material to separate the constituent containing the nickel.
