A lithium secondary battery comprises: an anode comprising an anode active material; a cathode comprising a cathode active material; and a non-aqueous electrolyte. The anode active material comprises a compound expressed in a first chemical formula given by Li_x1Co_1-yM_yO_2. The first chemical formula satisfies 1.05<x1<1.10, and M comprises B, Mg, Ca, Sr, Ba, Ti, V, Cr, Fe, Cu, Al, and one combination selected among a group of combinations of the elements. The cathode active material comprises a compound expressed in a second chemical formula given by SiO_x2. The second chemical formula satisfies 0.95<=x2<=1.1. The lithium secondary battery comprises 3-30 wt% of the compound expressed in the first chemical formula with respect to 100 wt% of the anode active material, and 3-5 wt% of the compound expressed in the second chemical formula with respect to 100 wt% of the cathode active material. |
