The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a metallic card. The method for manufacturing a metallic card comprises: (a) forming a metallic sheet material composed of conductive metal and having the shape of a credit card; (b) forming a chip attaching groove and a rear surface attaching groove respectively on the first surface and the second surface of the metallic sheet material; (c) forming a film on the surfaces of the metallic sheet material having the chip attaching groove and the rear surface attaching groove formed thereon via gold or silver plating; (d) forming an insulating film on the surface of the metallic sheet material having the film formed thereon; and (e) attaching an IC chip and a rear surface attachment respectively to the chip attaching groove and the rear surface attaching groove of the metallic sheet material having the insulating film formed thereon. The method for manufacturing a metallic card according to the present invention can manufacture a metallic card having the texture of noble metals such as gold and silver at low manufacturing costs. |
