INORGANIC PARTICLES RISING ON THE SURFACE OF WATER AND PREPARING METHOD THE SAME

Provided is a floating inorganic particle which is produced by coating an inorganic particle with a hydrophobizing coating agent, wherein the specific gravity of the inorganic particle is 0.2-3.7 and the average particle diameter of the particle is 0.05-3.5 mm. In addition, provided is a method for producing the floating inorganic particle, which comprises the following steps: providing the hydrophobizing coating agent mixed with a silane compound and water; coating the inorganic particle by adding the hydrophobizing coating agent into the inorganic particle; drying moisture at 60-90°C after the coating is completed; and grinding and distributing the dried and coated inorganic particles. The floating inorganic particle of the present invention floats on a surface of a slurried mixture and offers hydrophobicity at the surface.
