The present invention relates to a device and a method to secure the sight of a vehicle driver. The device includes: a position information receiving part receiving position information of a vehicle; an illuminance sensor measuring the surrounding brightness of the vehicle; a head-up display projecting a picture on the front window of the vehicle; and a control part determining that the vehicle reaches a first setting distance from a tunnel entrance based on position information, received through the position information receiving part, and making the sight of a driver preadapted by projecting a picture on the front window through the head-up display based on the outer brightness of the tunnel until the vehicle reaches the tunnel entrance when the outer brightness, measured through the illuminance sensor, is not less than first reference brightness. |
