1. An image processing method comprising:
a threshold matrix storage step of storing a threshold matrix used for quantization processing that converts input image data into image data having a gradation number less than a gradation number which the input image data has; an abnormal recording element information acquisition step of acquiring abnormal recording element information; a mask processing step of applying mask processing to an abnormal recording element based on the acquired abnormal recording element information; a threshold matrix correction step of correcting a correspondence relationship between a recording element and a threshold, such that processing of a pixel to be formed by the abnormal recording element subjected to the mask processing is excluded and continuity of a pattern of the threshold matrix is maintained; and a quantization processing step of performing quantization processing using the corrected threshold matrix. |
