PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus for producing a single crystal capable of providing a single crystal having superior light transmittivity.SOLUTION: An apparatus 1 for producing a single crystal is provided which produces an aluminum nitride single crystal 6 by a sublimation method and includes: an inner crucible 10 which has an inner container body 11 housing a raw material 2 and an inner cover body 12 covering a first upper opening 113 of the inner container body 11 and holding a seed crystal 5 so as to face the raw material 2; and an outer crucible 20 which has an outer container body 21 housing the inner crucible 10 and housing a raw material 13 for impurity reduction in a space formed inside the outer container body 21 and outside the inner crucible 10, and an outer cover body 22 covering a second upper opening 213 of the outer container body 21. |
