PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-speed and reliable uninterruptible switching.SOLUTION: At a branching position of an active optical line optical fiber 3 and a bypass optical communication path optical fiber 4, a bending part 31 with a prescribed parameter is performed on the active optical line optical fiber 3 by a lateral light input/output mechanism 1, and thereby lateral light input/output of communication light is made possible between the active optical line optical fiber 3 and the bypass optical line optical fiber 4. A light relay device placed between two pieces of the bypass optical communication path optical fiber 4 monitors optical intensities of uplink communication light and downlink communication light, simultaneously perform switching control of a fiber disconnection mechanism 102 and an optical switch mechanism 103 at the time point when both optical intensities become equal to or more than a threshold value, and thereby disconnects the active optical line optical fiber 3 and makes the bypass optical communication path optical fiber 4 in a conductive state. |
