PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize more smooth start if a reverse gear position is selected during idling stop.SOLUTION: In an automatic transmission including a mechanical engagement mechanism capable of being switched over between a one-way rotation allowable state and a rotation prevention state, the mechanical engagement mechanism is switched to the rotation prevention state in a reverse gear position. If idling stop of an internal combustion engine is to be implemented, the idling stop is implemented after switching the mechanical engagement mechanism to the rotation prevention state on the assumption of a case in which the reverse gear position is selected during the idling stop. |
