PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide proteases useful for cleaning stained fabric (such as blood stain), and cleaning and/or treating compositions comprising the proteases, as well as use methods of the treating compositions.SOLUTION: Provided is a cleaning and/or treating composition (commercial product) comprising an isolated subtilisin variant and an adjunct material, where the subtilisin variant is a mature form having proteolytic activity, whose amino acid sequence includes a combination of amino acid substitutions at positions selected from a specified amino acid sequence, which positions are numbered according to the numbering of corresponding amino acid positions of the amino acid sequence of subtilisin BPN' of Bacillus amyloliquefaciens. The method for treating a surface, in particular, a fabric surface, comprises a step of contacting the surface with an aqueous liquor comprising the treating composition. |
