Heading BIT [Also in Division E2] One or more filter elements 3 having peripheral frames 4 are clamped inside a support frame 2 which is itself adjustably suspended on rods 22. A number of such assemblies may form a ceiling or wall through which filtered air enters a room (Fig. 2, not shown), in which case a diffusion grid 28 hides elements 3 from view. Elements 3 rest on inward flange 9 of frame 2, with sealing gasket 14 interposed. In Fig. 4, rods 7, integral with the lower part of frame 4, are engaged by hooks 19 which are pivotally connected to hooks 18 engaging a lip 16 of flange 9, screws 21 being tightened to clamp element 3 in place (Fig. 3, not shown). Rods 22 hook on rafters 27 and frame 2 is vertically adjusted thereon by nuts 24. In Fig. 5, (not shown), additional threaded parts of rods 22 carry adjustable hooks. (32) which pull the upper edges of frames 4 downwards, clamping their lower edges to flanges 9. Figs. 6, 7 (not shown) illustrate double hooks used as in Fig. 4, but connected by turnbuckles with two oppositely threaded portions.
