<p>The present invention pertains to a method to assess the oestrus of multiple animals, for example pigs and cattle, to predict an insemination interval for each animal, comprising for each animal in a first cycle determining a value for at least one characteristic of the oestrus, predicting the insemination interval based on the determination of the said value, inseminating the animal in the said interval, establishing a fertilisation rate of the inseminated animal, and in a second cycle determining a new value for the said at least one characteristic of the oestrus, and predicting a new insemination interval for the said animal using the determination of the new value and the fertilisation rate. The invention also pertains to a system suitable for applying this method.</p> |
