摘要 The present invention relates to a grinder wheel locking apparatus which locks a wheel when the wheel is mounted on a spindle to make it easier to mount the wheel and which allows the wheel to freely rotate since the locking of the wheel is automatically released when locking is done with torque greater than the torque limit value. To achieve the purpose, the present invention provides an apparatus for locking the rotation of a wheel to mount the wheel of a grinder on a spindle, which comprises: a spindle in which a wheel is fixated on one end and which is freely rotated by a bearing; a gear lock fixated on the other end of the spindle to have multiple grooves on the top surface; a lock pin which is moved toward the top surface of the gear lock by the power given from the outside of the wheel assembly of the grinder, which limits the rotation of the spindle by being matched with a groove, and which has a locking groove on the top and a locking groove on the bottom according to the length; a ball plunger with a ball which is matched with the locking groove on the top or the locking groove on the bottom of the lock pin or removed from the locking groove by the movement of the lock pin; and a wheel nut fastened with the spindle with a screw to pressurize and fixate the wheel mounted on the spindle. A taper or a round is formed on the groove formed on the gear lock and the bottom end of the lock pin inserted into the groove or one of them. When the torque, which is generated as the wheel nut is fastened with the spindle, reaches the torque limit value or greater, the lock pin breaks away from the groove and the spindle rotates.
