PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a holding seal material having a sufficient holding power even in a low temperature region of 600°C or lower.SOLUTION: A holding seal material is made of inorganic fibers loaded with an organic binder and contains no expansion material. The holding seal material is characterized in that the organic binder is lower by 4-80% in the tensile strength measured by a method according to JIS-K 6251 than the organic binder subjected to a heat treatment at 105°C. |
