PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate installation, and to also secure an outside landscape from a viewing window, in an observation elevator of a balance weight rear drop layout or a balance weight sideways drop layout.SOLUTION: A balance weight device of an observation elevator comprises a viewing window (7), and a balance weight frame is constituted of a first balance weight frame (1a) and a second balance weight frame (1b) dividedly arranged by separating a space corresponding to a width of the viewing window, and a balance weight is dividedly arranged by being constituted of a first balance weight (2a) surrounded by the first balance weight frame and a second balance weight (2b) surrounded by the second balance weight frame, and a first guide rail (9a) for guiding lifting operation of the first balance weight and a second guide rail (9b) for guiding lifting operation of the second balance weight, are respectively constituted as one guide rail. |
