PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid electric vehicle heater controller capable of improving fuel economy and cabin comfort by appropriately using a fan heater and an electric heater.SOLUTION: A hybrid electric vehicle heater controller includes an engine 2 and a motor 3, a battery 4, a fan heater 6 blowing heated air into a cabin using heat of engine cooling water, and an electric heater 7 actuated by power supplied from the battery 4. The heater controller comprises: short-time-running determination means 21 determining whether predicted time required to reach a destination is short time ST within predetermined time on the basis of one or more of information on a distance from a vehicle present location to the destination, time information, and user's operation; and heater control means 22 controlling actuation of the fan heater 6 and the electric heater 7. Furthermore, if a remaining capacity of the battery 4 is equal to or greater than a predetermined value, the short-time-running determination means 21 determines that the predicted time is the short time ST, and the fan heater 6 is turned on, the heater control means 22 exerts a control not to actuate the fan heater 6 and to actuate the electric heater 7. |
