PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air bag device capable of reducing a burden on a passenger.SOLUTION: An air bag device 100 includes a cushion 110 which has a bag-shape, appears from an instrument panel 104, has a contact area 114 coming into contact with a windshield 112, and expands to spread between a passenger's seat 106 and the instrument panel 104; and a first tether 130 and a second tether 132 extended in the cushion 110. The first tether 130 connects a vehicle width-directionally inner side part 111 to the contact area 114 of the cushion 110, and the second tether 132 connects a vehicle width-directionally outer side part 113 to the contact area 114 of the cushion 110, the first tether 130 and second tether 132 being long enough to be tensed to draw the contact area downward when the cushion 110 spreads in a vehicle width direction in a passenger restraint state. |
