PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing system allowing a user to print on his intended exclusive paper.SOLUTION: A printing system 1 includes: a printing data storage section 21 for temporarily storing printing data included in printing request information 10 from a host device 60; a control section 24; a paper feed tray 33 for storing exclusive paper; an imaging section 32 for reading exclusive paper kind information for specifying the kind of the exclusive paper printed at a prescribed portion of the exclusive paper stored in the paper feed tray 33, decrypting the information, converting the exclusive paper kind information into exclusive paper kind data 38 and outputting the exclusive paper kind data 38; and a printing section 31 for printing on the exclusive paper fed from the paper feed tray 33. The control section 24 feeds exclusive paper from the paper feed tray 33 to the printing section 31 and prints the printing data temporarily stored in the printing data storage section 21 on the exclusive paper only when the exclusive paper kind data included in the printing request information 10 received from the host device 60 is matched with the exclusive paper kind data 38 output from the imaging section 32.
