PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a processing method of a cylindrical workpiece which is secured in concentricity with respect to an inside diameter face, in the processing of an outside diameter face of the cylindrical workpiece, and a processor.SOLUTION: A processor comprises: a hollow main shaft spindle 2 which is rotatably pivoted into a main shaft unit 11, and has a drive center 9 formed with a tapered face 9a at a tip part; a centering spindle 12 which is rotatably and axially movably pivoted into a centering unit 16, and has a centering center 15 formed with a tapered face 15a at a tip part; and a shaft-shaped carrier 19 which is relatively non-rotatably and axially movably pivoted to an inner hole 17 of the main shaft spindle 2. The main shaft spindle 2 and the centering spindle 12 are coaxially arranged, and the drive center 9 and the centering center 15 are engaged with end-part inside diameters of the workpiece W, and supported at inside diameters. An outside diameter face of the workpiece W is finish-processed while rotationally driving the workpiece W in a state that the carrier 19 is engaged with the workpiece W from an inside diameter side. |
