PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress, in an insulation member mainly made of a polyester premix compact, the generation of a dry band on the surface of the insulation member made of the polyester premix compact so as to improve long-term reliability of an insulation rod.SOLUTION: An insulation rod 10 comprises: a columnar insulation member; a first conductive member which is partially embedded at one end of the insulation member; and a second conductive member which is partially embedded at the other end of the insulation member. The insulation member comprises: a plurality of protrusions 28 protruding in a radial direction from an outer peripheral portion; and a deterioration prevention layer 26, provided on the surface of the outer peripheral portion on both sides of the plurality of protrusions 28, which is made of a material having a temporal surface resistance drop rate lower than that of a base material of the insulation member. |
