PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of withdrawing sodium from a NaS battery that can efficiently process a wasted NaS battery, and an apparatus to which the method is applied.SOLUTION: A method comprises a reaction step of jetting processing liquid to sodium accommodated at a sodium accommodating unit in a battery container and making sodium react with the processing liquid to generate reaction liquid, and a reflow step of adjusting the concentration of the reaction liquid and the liquid temperature to generate the processing liquid. In the reaction step, the processing liquid is continuously jetted to sodium while the total amount of sodium reacts with the reaction liquid. |
