PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a radio device that can suppress a reflection signal from interfering with a communication signal and enhance communication characteristics.SOLUTION: A planar antenna unit and a housing are provided. The planar antenna unit is mounted in the housing and radiates a radio signal to a radio device which is disposed to confront the planar antenna unit. The housing contains an outer peripheral end portion confronting the antenna unit, and the distance between the antenna unit and the outer peripheral end face of the outer peripheral end portion is different among plural points on the outer peripheral end face.
