PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hoisting machine for an elevator which can achieve enhancement of cooling efficiency in the interior of the elevator.SOLUTION: In a hoisting machine for an elevator, first and second ventilation holes 31, 32, which penetrate a sheave 3 at different positions in a radial direction of the sheave 3. A motor 4 for generating a driving force for rotating the sheave 3 has a cylindrical stator 41 which is fixed to an inner peripheral surface of a housing 1 and a cylindrical rotator 42 which is disposed inside the stator 41 and is coaxially fixed to the sheave 3. In a space inside the rotator 42, a fin 7, which forms a flow channel 8 for guiding air current, which is generated by rotation of the sheave 3, from one of the first and second ventilation holes 31, 32 to the other, is projected from the sheave 3. |
