PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a MIG welding method capable of obtaining a welded part of a preferable appearance shape while suppressing a rise of a welding cost and, further, capable of improving the wettability of molten welding wire.SOLUTION: An inactive gas is used as shield gas G, a welding torch 3 for MIG welding is directed to base material X, a welding arc A is generated between the base material X and the tip of a welding wire 5 while feeding the welding wire 5, a molten pool Bp is formed on the base material X, when the welding torch 3 is moved in the welding direction and a welded bead B is formed, a retreat angle &thetas; is given to the welding torch 3 so as to feed the welding wire 5 toward the retreat side in a welding direction, the welding arc A is directed to the molten pool Bp, the length of the welding arc A is reduced and the spreading of the welding arc A is stopped within the molten pool Bp. |
