PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a stable optical film continuously by evaluating the dispersibility of a coating liquid and by using a coating liquid stable in the dispersibility.SOLUTION: An optical film manufacturing method comprises: the step of preparing a coating liquid having high molecules and fine particles dispersed therein; the step of storing the prepared coating liquid in a storage oven and dispersing the stored coating liquid; the step of measuring the filtration pressure of said dispersed coating liquid at a predetermined time interval by using an unused filter for each measurement; and the application step of beginning the application of the coating liquid supplied from said storage oven to a substrate, in the case where the measured filtration pressure is at or lower than a predetermined value.
