发明名称 USE OF DOPED SILANE COATING AS AN ANTICORROSIVE PRETREATMENT FOR BRONZE PROTECTION AND CONSERVATION
摘要 The subject of the present invention is the use of doped compounds as reinforcing agent for the anticorrosion silane based layer formed on Bronze surface. The anticorrosive layer was tested on two bronze alloys; a tin bronze alloy (Cu-Sn) and leaded tin bronze (Cu-Sn-Pb) simulating the composition of archeological articrafts. The immersion solution used for the surface pre-treatment contains both; an organic phase containing the silane molecule and an aqueous phase with the doped molecule. The aggressive media is composed by an aqueous solution with different concentration of aggressive ion. The protected efficiency of the silane doped coating is approved by using stationary and transitory electrochemical studies. The surface state of coated samples was also observed by optical microscope and scanning electron microscopy coupled with X-ray microanalysis.
