PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the reduction in driving force applied to the whole mixture in a technology for transporting a mixture in which an additive is mixed into EHD fluid by utilizing EHD phenomenon.SOLUTION: A mixture transporting device includes: a flowing mixture X; a casing 30 where a passage through which the mixture passes is formed; and electrode pairs 32a, 33a, 32b, 33b. The mixture X includes: EHD fluid F which is energized in the direction of slit electrodes 33a, 33b on the weak electric field side from taper shaped electrodes 32a, 32b on the intense electric field side out of the electrode pairs by an electrohydrodynamic phenomenon when electric field is applied between the electrode pairs; and an additive P whose dielectric constant is smaller than that of the EHD fluid F. |
